Policy
Microsystems abides by the National Privacy Principles in the Privacy
Act 1988 as amended by the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.
Information Collected
Microsystems holds personal information collected by other organisations
for the purpose of processing and collation. All personal information
is returned to those organisations at completion of collation, in hard
copy (documents and data CDs) and via secured transmission across the
Internet. Microsystems will not make any attempt to identify individuals
from the documents processed. However, in the unlikely event of an investigation,
a law enforcement agency or other government agency may exercise its
legal authority to inspect documents.
Use of Information
Microsystems handles information sent to them from other organisations
for the purpose of manual and electronic processing and collation. Microsystems
does not use this information for any purpose beyond that which the
organisation has specified.
After processing this information it is returned to the organisation
in full. Microsystems does not sell or pass on any personal information
provided to us, except where we may be required by law to disclose certain
information.
Information Security
All information processed by Microsystems is stored and maintained in
secure physical and electronic facilities that limit access to authorized
personnel only. If Microsystems are required to transfer any personal
information electronically we use a 128-bit SSL encryption link for
security. Authorised personnel can only access information through a
series of access-control procedures. All Microsystems employees are
briefed about the Company's Privacy and Security Policies.
Access to Information Collected
If you need to access your personal information you should first contact
the organisation that collected it from you. If Microsystems Group has
information for archival purposes we will ensure that the information
stored is accurate and complete and that no future alterations are made
to such information.
Deletion / Destruction Policy
Microsystems works under client approved information destruction contracts.
Once the information has been processed Microsystems returns all information
to the client, and destroys all records. Microsystems does not retain
any processed information.
